The Ordering Process

Coastal Memorials™ works in partnership with funeral directors and also accepts direct orders where appropriate. The ordering route will be confirmed during consultation and determines how pricing, communication, and submission of inclusions are handled.

1. Choosing Your Ordering Route

Orders may be managed in one of two ways:

Through your funeral director
Your funeral director will guide you through available keepsakes, confirm pricing, and submit the order on your behalf.

Direct with Coastal Memorials™

Where agreed, customers may place their order directly with Coastal Memorials™, with pricing and support provided by us.

The appropriate route will always be confirmed before an order proceeds.

2. Placing the Order

Once your keepsake choice and personalisation details are confirmed:

the order is formally placed
a final invoice is issued showing the full amount payable
no production slot is reserved until payment has been received in full

Orders are only considered confirmed once payment has cleared.

3. Sending your inclusions and clothing

After payment is complete, instructions will be provided for safely sending:

ashes or other memorial inclusions
breastmilk samples (where applicable)
clothing items for keepsake products

Items may be sent either:

directly to Coastal Memorials™, or
via your funeral director

This will depend on the agreed ordering route.

4. Production Timeline

Your production timeframe begins only once all required inclusions or materials have safely arrived with Coastal Memorials™.

Standard turnaround time is:

6 to 8 weeks from the date inclusions arrive

Delays in sending inclusions will delay the production start date.

5. Order Progress Updates

Throughout the process, your funeral director (and where appropriate, the customer) will be able to track the progress of the order through key production stages, including:

confirmation that inclusions have safely arrived
notification if jewellery components are being awaited
confirmation when the item enters production
quality check stage
dispatch confirmation once shipped

This structured update system ensures transparency and reassurance at every stage.
